You know how you just click with people. The moment, I met Margo, I knew we clicked. During her initial consult, I just felt this vibe from her that we were going to stay in sync throughout her entire wedding design journey. And we did. Margo’s vision for her wedding included industrial vibes using mixed materials but she wanted to keep it soft and romantic at the same time. To take the edge off the industrial elements. She provided her color palette and I went into design mode that night.
Margo chose the PERFECT venue for her wedding. Brik Venue screams industrial but yet it has soft touches to it at every turn. I knew it would be easy to bring her vision to life at this venue. It was already the perfect design slate.
To achieve her romantic-industrial vision, I brought in several different concrete elements such as handcrafted (by me!) concrete vessels in several different sizes, each hand dipped in gold to get a drip effect (I used them to hold candles for her wedding, but they can also hold small floral buds) and concrete cinder blocks with custom painted geo designs. I also brought in 3 large wooden spools painted gold. 2 were used for her cake display and 1 was used to anchor her guest book/gift table. I created test tube bud vases and anchored them with some brass + brought in brass candle stick holders. Other metal/glass elements included some geo terrariums.
In her ceremony space, I created a ring of fire. Utilizing glass candles and brass candle stick holders and weaving greenery to soften the glass and metal up a bit. It was so romantic! The greenery wall and greenery aisle runners, created by Macey Price of Flourish Floral, helped anchor her ceremony space. Her ceremony backdrop was simply stunning.
