Looking for a Fort Worth wedding venue that has an industrial vibe? Look no further than Brik located in the Near Southside neighborhood just minutes from downtown Fort Worth. I recently had the opportunity to catch up with the owner, Lynsie Blau, to ask her a few questions about herself, about Brik and what makes her venue special.

Tell us a little bit about your Fort Worth Wedding Venue.
BRIK has been open just over a year. With a capacity of 300 guests, the building has two levels for ceremony and reception, a gorgeous bridal suite, and a picturesque courtyard, among other great amenities. Located in the Near Southside neighborhood we are just minutes from Downtown Fort Worth and Magnolia Ave.
What is your role at the venue?
I am the owner and operator of BRIK. In general, I have my hands is everything – tours, events, marketing, etc. I also have a Director of Operation, Emily Wood, who is God-send! We wouldn’t be functioning at such a high level without her.

What style of wedding do you feel your venue is best suited for?
Considering BRIK is an old warehouse, we definitely have the “Industrial” vibe. But I have seen the style in here go so many ways – formal & elegant, simple & chic…I even have a circus themed wedding coming up.
What’s your favorite part of the job?
My favorite part is probably the initial tours. It is always encouraging to show potential clients the space, see the reactions of their faces when they see it for the first time and hear their ideas on how they will use the space. Every one has been so different and it is fun to watch.
What are your hobbies or non-work related activities?
Wine.
Are there any wedding trends that you absolutely love?
I love when clients set up lounge sets for their guests – somewhere comfortable and beautiful for them to sit that isn’t always at a dinner table.
Craziest request you’ve had from a client or prospective client?
“Can we put fairground rides in your parking lot?” – We shall see….Circus wedding coming this summer.

What is something uncommon that you wish your clients knew about your venue?
The accent wood wall I have on the main floor is wood taken from an old barn on my family ranch in west-central Texas.
What tips or advice can you give to couples who are in the midst of planning?
Trust and have faith in your vendors. They want your day to be as perfectly unique as you do. They all know tips and tricks to stay within a budget, make things run efficiently, and make your day special.
