Looking for a Dallas Event Designer that will truly take your event vision and breathe life into it and make it that fairytale you always wanted? Then you need to meet Nikki, the creative mind behind Blooming House Collective. We recently had the opportunity to collaborate on a French Romance Inspired Elopement Editorial that was super dreamy!! Read below to learn more about her and her business!
Tell us a little bit about your Dallas Styling & Event Design Business.
Once upon a time, my husband + I separately started dreaming up our own creative business ideas. We each wanted to use our talents, not only professionally, but for a bigger purpose. As our relationship blossomed, we began to dream BIG together. While music took off for him, I began to find success in, well, making things. I specialize in styling + design.
The idea behind Blooming House Collective is to fuse my skills with other creatives into one collection while exploring the depths of our artistry together. That’s why I like to refer to this company as ‘we’ instead of ‘me.’ It takes a team to pull off the prettiest of projects, whether that be me + client or me + vendors.
We like wild ideas and a healthy challenge; it’s what we live for. We pride ourselves in building a personal relationship with our clients and producing killer work for them. We strive to maintain a natural working process and concentrate on producing quality work. It is for those reasons we are able to be successful. And while we do believe being successful means making a profit from our designs, we also believe in sharing our profits for the good of our community. And that’s something we revel in.Photography Credit: Cassie Loree Photography
How did you get into Event Styling & Design?
After my daughter was born, I left my corporate job and began to stay at home with her. My husband encouraged me to pursue anything I wanted to do while I wasn’t working a full-time job. I started making things and taking photos of them and people wanted to buy them. So, I started an Etsy shop and the rest is history!Photography Credit: Cassie Loree Photography
What is your Styling & Design aesthetic?
I really try to make unique pieces that I’ve never seen before, while trying to stay trendy.
What’s your favorite part of the job?
My favorite part of the job is seeing the final product. I love seeing how the hard work paid off and I love the reaction from clients. That makes all worth the blood, sweat, and tears.

What are your hobbies or non-work related activities?
This is a hard question, because my hobbies include making things, haha. BUT if I had to list some other things, I like to play tennis, read Harry Potter books and go camping!
What is your current favorite color combination?
White and copper is my current favorite color combo.

Are there any design trends that you absolutely love?
Right now, I really love color pallets that don’t include the color pink. I think that’s because the last shoot I did was pink to the MAX, so I’m looking for a little change right now, haha.
Share some of your work with us!
1. Backyard Bohemian Wedding: The original intention of this shoot was to be a styled engagement session for bride, Jennie, and groom, Zach. The wedding was set for the fall and the couple planned to use these photos for their Save The Dates. That all suddenly changed after the news that Jennie’s sweet father had been diagnosed with a rare stage IV cancer. A week before the shoot, we agreed with the bride and groom to additionally hold a wedding ceremony and started rushing to get things together. The morning of was filled with storms, wet grass, and stress, but luckily, it all cleared in time to set up. We brought together our friends and other creatives and the result was something we will never forget.
2. White Sparrow Elopement: This shoot was so amazing because the venue was a blank canvas. I really got to make the things I wanted to make and didn’t have to worry about matching anything already there.
What tips or advice can you give to couples who are in the midst of planning?
Start early! The sooner you have things prepared, the less stressed you’ll be when the time actually arrives.
Thank you Nikki for sharing a bit more about Blooming House Collective!!
